By default, the 13-pin socket of the trailer hitch on the Model X goes down, so the ground clearance is greatly affected when the cable is plugged in. Our angle adapter ensures that the cable sticks out to the rear, so that the ground clearance remains almost the same.
For example, when reversing with a bike rack to the Supercharger, the cable would otherwise drag across the ground sill and be damaged in the long run. The same also happens while driving over speed bumps or on rough terrain.
The adapter is made of plastic and is very robust. The pin assignment is identical to that on the vehicle.
