Tesla Boombox - How do I play my own sounds?

"Turn your car into a boombox and entertain a crowd with your media player when parked."

All with the AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) equipped Tesla models also automatically have the boombox. This can be used to play any sound (to the outside) via the external loudspeaker.

All you need to play your own sounds is a USB stick. This can be a "retrofitted" one (IMPORTANTThe USB stick must be formatted in ExFAT format), but also the original USB stick supplied by Tesla, which is located in the glove compartment.

In the directory of the USB stick, a folder with the file name Boombox must be created. The sounds saved in this folder can then be played later with the Boombox. IMPORTANTThe Tesla boombox can currently only play files in the .mp3 audio format & only a maximum of 5 different files at the same time.

On the Tesla display you can select game box > boombox to access the functions.

To make it easier for you to get started, we present our 5 current favorite sounds for the download ready. Have fun trying them out!
