Application tips:
Preparation: Before repair, thoroughly clean the damaged area. First carefully remove rust and coarse dirt. Make sure that the surrounding vehicle paint is not damaged. Then remove fine dirt with an ear swab and silicone remover (if not available, use benzine). In the case of heavily rusted areas, prior treatment with a rust converter such as Tannox is recommended.
Apply undercoat (only for white): Shake the paint stick vigorously for at least 30 seconds before use so that the paint particles are distributed evenly. After opening, wipe the brush on the touch-up pencil bottle or on a piece of plastic or glass, do not brush. This is necessary to remove excess paint from the brush, which would result in a thick, uneven paint application. Gently dab the paint onto the area to be repaired (do not brush or you will create streaks). Make sure that the paint is applied very thinly. If the paint is damaged only in a very small area, such as a stone chip, use a special paint dabber or toothpick to apply only small portions of paint. If possible, try to apply very thin layers. If the scratch to be repaired is very deep, the process can be repeated two or three times. Make sure that the underlying layer of varnish is completely dry each time. Allow 20 to 30 minutes per coat of paint. The undercoat needs 12 to 24 hours to dry.

Allow 20 to 30 minutes per coat of varnish. The main lacquer requires 12 to 24 hours to dry.
Applying clear lacquer:The clear coat is more viscous than the main coat and must therefore be applied particularly sparingly. A slight elevation after applying the clear coat can be removed by grinding and polishing. After applying the clear coat, wait at least 24 hours before further processing the area. However, 72 hours is recommended!
Optional sanding:After the clear coat has cured, the repair area and the immediate vicinity can be wet sanded with 2000 or 3000-grit water sandpaper. Then clean the area thoroughly with plenty of water. This work step is intended primarily for large-area damage.
Optional repolishing:Once the surface has been ground smooth, the entire area can be repolished. Before repolishing, the treated areas must be well dried, otherwise the new paint can be damaged by the friction of a polishing machine or by hand during polishing. If everything has been done according to the instructions, the repair area should be practically invisible.
Temperature:The ambient temperature during work should be between 13 and 25 degrees Celsius. Direct sunlight should be avoided. This can cause the car paint to dry out too quickly in places. If the paint has temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius before processing, it can also be warmed carefully with a hair dryer, otherwise the paint applied with the touch-up pen will not bond properly with the old paint layer. The touch-up pencil itself should always have a temperature of approx. 20 degrees Celsius and should never be exposed to frost.
Warnings:Self-repair of paint damage with a touch-up pen can be very successful, but it does not replace a visit to a professional paint shop. The use of the touch-up pen set is always at your own risk. The user is liable for any damage caused to the vehicle by using the touch-up pen. Car paint should never come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. When working with touch-up pens, it is recommended to wear disposable rubber gloves. Do not keep car paint near children or animals.

Our brand 2befair stands for sustainably and at the same time fairly produced accessories for electric cars. Furthermore, we pay a lot of attention to an extraordinary good quality and transparency of our 2befair products at our producers. To prevent long delivery routes and thus unnecessary CO2 emissions, our products are produced as regionally as possible. We inform you about the exact country of origin in the respective product, because transparency is very important for us.
For example, we have already been able to switch one of our most important products, rubber mats, to sustainable production in Germany. In addition, our 2befair rubber mats already consist of 30% recycled material. Basically, we pay attention to a high percentage of recycled material in our 2befair products or see that the material is biologically produced and also degradable. We are constantly doing everything we can to convert more products from our online store to sustainably and fairly produced products. In our 2befair product category you can already find a selection of different products.
In the future, many more products will follow under the 2befair brand. Our goal is to further expand the accessories market and to change it in a sustainable way! With our brand 2befair we give you our brand promise! Let's do everything possible to think fair and sustainable together! For our environment!
