In the last few days there have been some updates on the current ship tracking and even some chassis numbers of Tesla Model 3 and Model Y from China. On Sunday (08/21/2022) there was a slightly larger VIN rain for some waiting Tesla customers. Some members of the TFF forum have received their VINs. For the most part, these are Tesla Model 3 vehicles. Here, however, it seems to depend very much on the equipment and color, because we also received a VIN for a Model 3 ordered. Unfortunately, our other vehicles, which were all ordered one after the other, have not yet received a VIN. Presumably there will still be some chassis numbers in the next few days, because in the last 7 days another 4 to 5 ships have crystallized for Europe.
On the originally confirmed ships, on 17.08. filed the Glovis Challenge in Shanghai. The port of destination is Barcelona, which you will arrive on 09.09. should reach. The allocation of the chassis numbers will most likely come from this ship. After completing the Glovis Challenge, the Glovis Sunrise came on August 19th. to the south pier for loading. Subsequently, on 23.08. to load the Glovis Sun. After the Glovis Sun left the port on 23.08. the Glovis Chrystal a. With this ship, however, it is not yet clear whether Tesla will also be charged, since the previous port was the North Pier in Shanghai. The Glovis Courage is also on hold, which should arrive today after the Glovis Crystal has sailed.
You will notice that there is still a lot going on at Tesla towards the end of the 3rd quarter and deliveries could turn into a real quarterly run again. This is exactly what Tesla wanted to change and deliver more continuously. By expanding the production lines and the associated ramping up of production, more Tesla Model 3 and Model Y can be produced in the future. Perhaps Tesla will now change its delivery strategy in Q4.
