The time has finally come, a good 4 months after the official launch of the Tesla Model 3 for Asia, the Pacific and Europe from Gigafactory Shanghai, Tesla has launched the new Model 3 Highland officially launched in North America. This means that the new Model 3 can now also be ordered in the Tesla configurator. Here, too, only the standard version with rear-wheel drive and the Long Range version are currently available; the Performance version has disappeared from the market for the time being. The delivery time is currently given as January - February 2024.
The prices are identical to the predecessor model, so the Model 3 with rear-wheel drive starts at 38,990 dollars and the Long Range variant at 45,990 dollars list price. Interestingly, the range and acceleration time have remained the same, but the top speed has also been reduced to 125 mph (201 km/h) in America.
Based on the WLTP range calculation in Europe, the new Model 3 Highland is more efficient and has a longer range than the older version, but this is not reflected in this update in the US - apart from the fact that the Dual Engine version gets 8 miles more.
