New facelift models of Tesla Model S and X

Tesla Model S and X enthusiasts have been waiting for this day for a long time. Finally, there is the long-awaited facelift. In addition to the design, Tesla has also adjusted the vehicle range and taken the performance models out of the program. For the Model S, there is now only Long Range, Plaid and Plaid+, and for the Model X, there is only a choice between Long Range and Plaid.

The first changes can already be seen on the outside. In addition to "Chrome-Delete", the new front lip also catches the eye. It looks a bit sportier than before and the air intakes on the sides are no longer so oversized. The rims have also received a redesign on the Model S. The 19-inch Tempest rims, which are included, have fewer air intakes and should thus reduce drag.

When it comes to the interior design, everything has simply changed. First up is the dashboard, which has now been updated to match the Tesla Model 3 design and allows for three-zone temperature control. In addition, the center screen has been rotated to horizontal and can now also be tilted. There's also an HD display behind the steering wheel, and a brand new addition is a display in the center console that allows rear-seat passengers to control media, games and climate control. The display also makes it possible to play with the game console with 10 teraflops of processing power and wireless controller compatibility from any seat. The biggest change is in the steering wheel. The so-called yoke steering allows an unobstructed view of the display behind the steering wheel. In addition, the steering wheel can also be heated. The front center console is equipped with sliding cup holders and storage space as well as the wireless USB-C fast charger and is also somewhat reminiscent of the Model 3. The front seats can now also be ventilated again. This feature was only available for a short time and at that time with leather seats. The entire interior will be sounded by 22 speakers in the future and the active noise suppression is specially adapted to the ultra-quiet interior of the Tesla. There is also a small but very fine change in the doors. Storage compartments have finally been installed here again. Tesla Model S and X drivers had to do without this for a long time. Premium connectivity is now even free for 3 years on the new models. After that, it will probably cost the usual €9.99 per month.
