As Tesla just announced by email, Tesla for existing vehicle orders and new orders placed by December 31, 2022, the current manufacturer share from 2022 will also be paid in full for pass the year 2023 on to the customers. This is currently an exclusive offer for Germany, as otherwise the manufacturer's share would be reduced by half from January 1st, 2022.
According to the current funding guidelines, the currently full environmental bonus applies exclusively to approvals in 2022. However, manufacturers can increase the proportion at their own discretion. This is exactly what Tesla does and now gives financial security to bestsellers and those who want to become one in 2022. Given the current delivery situation, this is virtually impossible for anyone who still wants to order a car in the fourth quarter. Demand is also high for Tesla and delivery times are long.
The Tesla action could convince some people to buy an electric car from Tesla now. In addition, the delivery times for Tesla have also increased, but are still relatively short compared to other manufacturers. Please note that the compensation does not cover the federal portion.
According to Tesla, the following conditions must be met:
Applies only if you have a vehicle order contract for a Model 3 or Model Y by December 31, 2022 and do not make any changes of any kind to your order prior to delivery. This compensation cannot be combined with any other discount or benefit. In order to be entitled to the compensation, you are obliged to pay the vehicle price immediately after invoicing or to present a concluded financing agreement and to accept the delivery immediately as soon as your vehicle is made available for delivery. Otherwise Tesla reserves the right to issue a new invoice without compensation, make a price adjustment or cancel your order. Any delay in delivery on the part of the customer will lead to the cancellation of the compensation. Compensation will only apply if delivery is accepted in 2023 and will be reflected directly on the final invoice. The compensation only covers the difference between the environmental bonus 2022 and the environmental bonus 2023 and does not include the federal share, including the innovation premium, of the environmental bonus 2023. The federal government reimburses this part at the request of the eligible customer if all the funding requirements are met. These conditions apply to customers who order via our online configurator or in store; different conditions may apply to customers who order as entrepreneurs.
