Did you know that Tesla implemented important optimizations in Update 2025.2 for the Tesla Tow Mode and the Tire Service Menu? These new features make towing and caring for your tires even safer and more comfortable – directly in your vehicle's service menu.
Improvements in Tow Mode
Tesla vehicles should not simply be towed on rollers, as the electric motors can overheat on long trips in neutral without active cooling. The revised Tow Mode now guides you step by step through the process:

Checklist similar to Car Wash Mode: Each item lights up in Green or Red, depending on whether it is correctly set for towing.

LV Battery Indicator: Shows the charge status of the low-voltage battery – important to ensure all onboard functions remain available when the vehicle is towed.

Vehicle-specific Display: Model 3, Model Y, or Cybertruck – the diagram adapts to your vehicle type.
Activation: Controls > Service > Tow Mode.
New Features in the Tire Service Menu
The revised Tire Service Menu is now closely linked with the maintenance history and helps you document all tire changes and maintenance without gaps:

Service Type Selection: Choose between tire rotation, replacement, or seasonal tires.

Automatic Logging: Date and mileage of each tire service are stored in the history.

More Accurate Range Predictions: By specifying the tire set used, the system optimizes the remaining vehicle range.
Access: Controls > Service > Wheel & Tire.
Note for Cybertruck: You currently mark seasonal changes via Service Mode and correction code; full integration will follow in an upcoming update.
