Tesla improves Supercharger interface with new details

Do you know the frustration when you head to a Supercharger station only to find out on-site that you have to pay expensive parking fees or need to obtain special access codes? With the Supercharger user interface update, Tesla now delivers all important information directly to the cockpit – from valet hints to parking fees to floor indicators in underground garages. This way, you keep control over your charging breaks and save time and nerves.

Improved Supercharger Overview

Tesla complements the list and map of Superchargers with new icons that show all access requirements at a glance. Even before you select a station, you immediately know whether it is a valet parking spot, a paid parking area, or an area with an access code.

New Icons and Hints

  • Valet-only Parking: Usable only with valet service

  • Pay to Park: Paid parking spaces

  • Access Codes: Prior code entry required

  • Parking Floor: Floor information for underground garages

These symbols appear in the Supercharger list and module even before navigation starts.

Context-Sensitive Warnings During Navigation

As soon as you select a station, the user interface displays context-sensitive messages:

  • Hints on parking fees directly above the navigation map

  • Access code and floor information as soon as you reach the target zone

  • Countdown until automatic departure with valet service

This way, you know in real-time what to expect – even if you're charging at a complex urban station for the first time.

More User-Friendliness in Urban Environments

In densely populated cities, Superchargers are often hidden in multi-story garages or behind barriers. The Supercharger user interface update ensures that you don't frantically search for red charging stations while your battery level is running low. Already in the preview, you can decide whether you prefer a freely accessible station or to opt for valet service.

Outlook on the Introduction

Tesla has announced the update for the next major software release (v2025.24 and v2025.26). Shortly thereafter, it will also be available in the Tesla app, supplemented with identical Supercharger information for on the go.

Conclusion
With the new Supercharger user interface, Tesla provides a simple solution for everyday charging problems. Valet hints, parking fees, access codes, and floor information make urban charging breaks plannable and stress-free – a small but decisive step towards more comfort and transparency in the fast-charging network.
