Tesla Quarterly result - Tesla delivered 369,783 vehicles in the 1st quarter!

Tesla has published its delivery and production figures for the first quarter of 2024: they confirm the initial impression that Tesla did not achieve any growth in the first quarter of 2024. Unfortunately, the exact opposite is the case, because contrary to expectations, the quarterly figures are even "worse" than many expected. The consensus on Wall Street last month was 470,000 deliveries, but this has been repeatedly revised downwards in recent weeks.

The delivery and production figures for the first quarter of 2024 published yesterday confirm that Tesla delivered 386,810 vehicles and produced 433,371 vehicles in the first quarter of the year. The volume models accounted for 412,376 vehicles produced and 369,783 vehicles delivered Model 3/Y and 20,995 vehicles produced and 17,027 vehicles delivered for other vehicles, including Model S/X, Cybertruck and Semi Truck.

For comparison: Tesla achieved record sales of 484,507 vehicles last quarter, representing a 20 percent year-over-year growth rate, and 422,875 vehicles were delivered in the first quarter of 2023.

In principle, it should be noted that not only Tesla achieved a worse result than expected, other manufacturers also recorded corresponding declines. This is partly due to the difficult global economic situation, which is reflected in rising prices, interest rates for end consumers and difficult supply chains, among other things. BYD, for example, recorded a decline of 43 percent between Q1 2024 and Q4 2023 for battery electric cars.
