Tesla Model 3 and Model Y now work without radar!

Tesla has announced the switch to “Tesla Vision” in the Model 3 and Model Y for Europe and the Middle East. This means that the radar on the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y will be omitted from delivery April 2022. The autopilot works exclusively camera-based in the models mentioned and uses neural data. According to Tesla, the new camera-based system does not affect active safety features.

Tesla also announced that there may be temporary restrictions or inactive functions during deliveries. The steering assistant is initially limited to 130 km/h and the distance cruise control can be set to a minimum of level 2. However, there will be a number of over-the-air software updates for these vehicles. But as we all know, this is not a problem for Tesla!
