Tesla Model 3 Facelift "Project Highland" - First pictures of the interior surfaced!

Once again new pictures of the Tesla Model 3 facelift with the internal project name "Highland" have emerged, providing a glimpse of the interior for the first time. Not much can be seen, but the modified steering wheel stands out. Back in December, a heavily camouflaged prototype of the revised Model 3 was spotted during test drives in California. Shortly thereafter, another prototype surfaced. Due to the heavy camouflage of the front and rear of these prototypes, it was difficult to see specific changes to the Model 3 vehicle. Last month, however, a first uncamouflaged image of the front of the new Model 3 was published.

The footage that has now surfaced appears to have been taken by a drone that flew over Tesla's test track at its Fremont factory. The footage shows Tesla testing a series of Model 3-vehicles being assembled, including one with camouflaged bumpers at the front and rear. It is believed that this vehicle is a refreshed Model 3 vehicle.

In one of the pictures, the door is open so we can take a look inside. Although the interior is also camouflaged, we can see that the steering wheel is clearly different from that of the current Model 3 car. It looks more like the round steering wheel used in the new Model S and Model X. Those models are known for using force-touch buttons instead of traditional steering wheel grips. Unfortunately, the rest of the interior is hard to see as Tesla has shrouded it, probably to avoid unwanted information. However, a closer look reveals that Tesla might have changed the dashboard and also made the seat and side bolsters similar to the German Model Y have been modified.
