Tesla App 4.46.6 & 4.46.5 Release Notes (German)

Tesla App 4.46.6 & 4.46.5 Release Notes (German)

With update 4.46.6, Tesla lays the groundwork for the seamless integration of Grok into the mobile app and improves logging for app notifications. Although many features are still "undocumented", the changes show how Tesla continues to expand its app architecture and actively supports the launch of Grok.

Grok Integration: Login & Push Notifications

  • Deep-Link Support for xAI/Grok: For the first time, Tesla uses its own URL scheme (e.g., tesla://xai/auth) to jump directly into the Grok login screen or other areas of the Grok app.

  • Push Notifications from xAI/Grok: The app can now receive login prompts and system notices from Grok and, when tapped, take the user directly to the appropriate Grok screen.

  • Preparation for future Grok features: Even though Grok control in the vehicle starts with 2025.26, update 4.46.6 ensures that smartphone connectivity is ready for use immediately.

Extended Notification Logging

Tesla has expanded internal logging for app notifications to enable deeper diagnostics. New log entries show, among other things:

  • Forwarding of xAI URIs to the operating system

  • Opening specific app screens (e.g., tire service, roadside assistance, agent chat)

  • Processing of deep-link calls and indication of unsupported URIs

  • Sentry Alarm Preview and UWB Permission Requests

This log extension helps Tesla to quickly identify and fix connectivity issues with deep links.
