Tesla App 4.39.1: New features for Powerwall and Supercharger

Tesla has with the latest app update 4.39.1 introduced numerous new features and improvements that will benefit both Powerwall owners and drivers of Tesla-vehicles are exciting. Storm Watch: Now with manual planning

With the update, the popular Storm Watch function is extended. You can now manually schedule events to keep your fully charge your Powerwall and thus ensure maximum backup security. This function is particularly useful for preparing for specific weather events.

  • Tesla App 4.38.0 or newer
  • Powerwall firmware 24.36which is currently being rolled out

Report Supercharger problems directly

The update brings numerous other optimizations for the Powerwall 3 with it:

  • Heat Mode for improved performance at low temperatures
  • High Impedance Mode for special operating conditions
  • New feature for installers: Rapid Shutdown (RSD) and E-Stop Wiring Test in Tesla One

There is also a new option to increase the maximum off-grid power of the Powerwall up to 15.4 kW increase.


Minor improvements in the app

In addition to the main features, the update also includes minor adjustments and improvements:

  • Trip Planner Update: The function for setting the charge level is now called "Set Departure Energy" instead of "Set Battery Percentage". This indicates future features such as "Set Arrival Energy".
  • Redesign of the My Home section: The overview for Tesla Energy products has been revised and offers more information, e.g. on the Wall Connector firmware.
