Some thought it was an April Fool's joke, but unfortunately it wasn't. On April 1st, 2022, Tesla also raised the prices for the Model 3 “Standard Range” by €7,000. The starting price for the Model 3 is therefore €49,990. Reasons for this increase will of course be the global crisis of raw materials and semiconductors, but the high capacity utilization at Tesla will also play a role. Tesla has always reacted to high capacity utilization with price adjustments. The standard model now has a delivery time of 13 months (May 2023)!
No longer full funding for the Tesla Model 3
The consequence of this increase is that the environmental bonus is no longer paid in full. For the Tesla Model 3, buyers - like the Model Y - are now only entitled to an environmental bonus of €5,000.
