New Tesla Software Update 2023.20 - First Release Notes

New Tesla Software Update 2023.20 - First Release Notes

Preparations for the next Tesla software update, version 2023.20, are already in full swing. Although the next update is still in the testing phase, this update has already attracted a lot of attention since its discovery last week. After the last Tesla update, version 2023.12, introduced numerous new features, everything indicates that the upcoming update might be a bit smaller. Nevertheless, "not a tesla app" now offers a first glimpse at some of the features that will be included in the 2023.20 update.

One particularly notable improvement as part of this update relates to tire rotation tracking. After the update, vehicle owners will be able to track the mileage of their tires. This feature will be very useful for keeping track of the miles driven since the last tire change, change to new tires or change to seasonal tires.

Resetting the tire service counter is done either manually by the vehicle owner or by the repair shop. The display of the kilometers driven and the resetting of the counter is carried out via the menu item "Controls" > "Service".

The official release notes state:

"Go to "Controls" -> "Service" to see how many kilometers have passed since the last tire service. When you have your tires replaced or changed, tap "Reset" to reset the counter.

Although Tesla doesn't announce exact release dates for upcoming software updates, the 2023.20 update is expected to be released in the next week or two. Of course, this schedule may change if Tesla encounters issues that need to be fixed before a public release.
