Tesla is finally launching two new colors for the Tesla Model Y produced in the Gigafactory Grünheide. The previously known colors Midnight Silver Metallic and the Red Multi Coat are no longer available. These will be replaced by the new colors Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red. However, the surcharge for these colors is somewhat higher and is now an additional 3000 euros for the Quicksilver and 3300 euros for the Midnight Cherry Red. On closer inspection it becomes clear that this change the Tesla Model Y LongRange with 19 inches, but also 20 inches and the Model Y Performance. All of these models with the new colors are now definitely from Berlin. Tesla indicates that the two colors were developed in the Gigafactroy Berlin and are only used there for Europe and the Middle East.

The delivery times for the new colors still seem a bit uncertain at the moment. Following this morning's change, the Quicksilver color was showing a December 2022 - February 2023 lead time for new orders. As of this morning, the delivery period for new orders is February 2023 - April 2023. Tesla customers who have ordered the old colors Midnight Silver Metallic and Red Multi Coat are currently receiving an email from Tesla with the free change to the new color. The surcharge is not passed on.

There are no color changes for Model Y Standard as this version comes from China for now. Accordingly, all known colors are retained in the Model 3. Here, however, there was a change in the prices. The Midnight Silver Metallic and Deep Blue Metallic colors change from 1200 euros to 1600 euros (400 euros more) and the Red Multi Coat color from 2200 euros to 2000 euros (200 euros less).
