First prototypes discovered without camouflage in the Alps
Visible: Carbon spoiler, distinctive diffuser, new 21-inch wheels
New performance badge in Ludicrous design
European launch expected in the coming months
What does the current test vehicle show?
Striking Aerodynamic Updates
Model Y Performance now features a pronounced rear diffuser and a longer carbon spoiler. Both reduce lift at high speeds and give the crossover the sporty look that was previously reserved for the Model 3 Performance.
New Performance Wheels
The near-production vehicle features for the first time staggered 21-inch wheels (wider rear axle). The larger contact area is intended to provide the top model with more traction when accelerating.
Fresh Badge for the Top Model
On the right of the tailgate is a new, orange-red logo, reminiscent of the “Ludicrous” emblem of the Model 3 Performance. This clearly differentiates Tesla between Long-Range and Performance.
