Matrix light for the new Tesla Model 3 Highland via OTA update?

An excerpt from a document on Platform X shows that the Model 3 Highland has received certification for a future over-the-air (OTA) update, which means activation for adaptive headlights/high beams (Matrix). But what exactly does that mean?

Tesla finally seems to be taking a step towards innovative lighting technology. Whether this is a true matrix light or just a dynamic, speed-dependent headlamp leveling system remains an open question for the time being. Nevertheless, everything points to the fact that Tesla drivers will one day have Model 3 Highland could soon benefit from an advanced lighting system.

However, there is one fly in the ointment: the excerpts indicate that this feature will initially only be available for the new Model 3 Highland for the time being. This is likely to disappoint some Tesla owners. Even though it has often been assumed that older vehicles will also be able to control individual LEDs with the "Samsung PixCell headlights" from the end of 2020, as the projection of the Tesla lettering shows, there does not seem to be any certification for this as things stand and therefore no implementation.
