Tesla is integrating several new upgrades into its premium vehicles, the Tesla Model S and Model X, two of which could be particularly exciting. The first of these will further enhance the interior of the vehicles by now including RGB ambient lighting, which is already available in the new Tesla Model 3 "Highland" and the Cybertruck. The colors can be adjusted as desired.
The even more interesting upgrade will be the practical front camera. Tesla has been criticized in this area in particular for some time. Interestingly, when Tesla released the first promotional videos for the new Tesla Model 3 had integrated a front camera, but quickly removed it again. There is still no front camera for the Model 3/Y, although it would be even more practical with the removal of the ultrasonic sensors, as Tesla now relies exclusively on Vision Only.
The launch of the new version is planned for March, and as usual with Tesla, the update will probably simply appear in the configurator without much notice. A first indication of a possible changeover is the reduction in the specified range of the respective models in the configurator. This was reduced by a few kilometers last week, which is due to a slight increase in power consumption. It remains to be seen whether the new version will bring further changes, but it is clear that Tesla continues to strive to improve its vehicles and offer its customers new functions.
