Comes the new Tesla Model 3 "Project Highland" sooner than expected?

According to various media reports, Tesla could start manufacturing the redesigned Tesla Model 3 sooner than planned. According to the reports, Tesla plans to introduce new production methods and thus reduce production costs and possibly also the price of the Model 3 significantly. Work on the revised Model 3 are running at Tesla under the project name "Highland".

The first details about the "Highland" project emerged in November, and at the beginning of December a kind of prototype with covered parts in the exterior was spotted. Now again a new prototype was Model 3 discovered on the street. Kilowatt Media had published pictures of it on Twitter. What you can see is a wrapped red Tesla Model 3, similar to the white Model 3 from December. The vehicle is covered in the prominent places, so it is hard to tell whether it is a prototype or a completely regular model. Any changes are therefore difficult to discern. However, the rumors that have arisen are interesting. Contrary to initial reports, Tesla wants to start building a new production line for the Model 3 "2023" start. Earlier rumors said that Tesla wanted to start manufacturing Project Highlands in China at the end of 2023. Insiders now believe that the new Model 3 much faster than initially expected and that it will be significantly cheaper than before. Elon Musk had already made comments to this effect - his goal is to reduce production costs, introduce new manufacturing methods and thus save up to 20 percent in manufacturing costs. This is intended to Model 3 again significantly cheaper, which of course gives it a market advantage over the competition.
