Now there is new information on the Model Y facelift. Tesla is planning to launch the revised Model Y with the name "Juniper" this year neither in the USA nor in China. The postponement affects production in both the US and China, although Tesla China has not officially confirmed this. As the German plant sources some components from China, production at both plants could be postponed in parallel to the Model Y Juniper in parallel.

The price cuts in both China and the US, as well as the announcement of the Juniper update for 2024, had raised expectations among many consumers that the current Model Y sold out and that an updated version could be ordered soon.
