Information on the next major software update 2023.12

The next major Tesla software update is just around the corner and first Tesla owners report that the 2023.12 update is ready for installation. Here we would like to give you an overview of what new features your Tesla will receive with this software update. You can find more information at Notateslaapp.

- You can change the text size for the touchscreen and choose between Standard or Large from now on. To set the font size, go to Control > Display > Text Size

- Use the new search function for faster access to controls and settings of the touchscreen. To do so, go to Controls > Search and enter the desired search term. Then simply click on the corresponding result to get to the desired search.

- Your Tesla will show you "points of interests" with matching photos and ratings for the corresponding destinations/superchargers.

- Control your phone calls via the steering wheel. Use the left scroll button to accept or reject incoming calls. While you are on a call, you can also use it to unmute or end the call.

- Personalize the left scroll wheel on your steering wheel. With the left scroll button on the steering wheel, you can now make more adjustments to the car. You can adjust settings like brightness and acceleration mode, or perform actions like switching the camera app, opening the glove box, and saving dashcam recordings.

Long press the left scroll button to bring up a list of functions and scroll through the list. To select which function is displayed by default, go to the Controls > Display > Scroll Wheel Function item.

- When changing gears, a beep sounds after the update. To activate the signal tone, go to Controls > Security > Signal tone.

- The charging menu in the vehicle will be updated with the update to remove the vehicle visualization and increase the size of the charging slider.

All of the above features are available for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y available. Whether any of the above features will be unlocked for the Model S and Model X cannot be said for sure at this time.

- Exclusively on the new Model S and Model X, the passenger seat can be adjusted via the rear touchscreen after the update to make it easier to get in and out of the back seat. To access the passenger seat controls, tap the seat icon on the rear touchscreen. Press and hold one of the arrows to move the front passenger seat forward or backward.

The controls are only available when the vehicle is not moving. To access the same controls from the front touchscreen, tap the app launcher and go to the rear touchscreen.
