Another significant reduction in electricity prices at the Tesla Supercharger!

Another significant reduction in electricity prices at the Tesla Supercharger!

Tesla has once again significantly reduced the costs for charging electric vehicles at its own Superchargers. This step puts additional pressure on other charging station operators, as charging at the Superchargers is now cheaper in some cases than charging at fast charging stations from other providers, even if these are third-party brands. After a phase in which prices were lowered several times at the beginning of the year and then raised again slightly, Tesla last night lowered the charges, in some cases significantly, to below €0.40 per kilowatt hour. It is also known that a slightly higher rate applies between 6 and 10 pm. Thus, the current price at the Tesla Supercharger in Soltau is 0.33€ per kWh during off-peak hours and 0.37€ per kWh during peak hours. During the last price adjustment, the prices of the different locations were successively further aligned. Regional differences are still possible.

This price reduction has also been implemented in other European countries. For example, in the Netherlands at the Apeldoorn Oost Supercharger, the cost is currently 0.23€ per kWh during off-peak hours and 0.27€ per kWh during peak hours.
