Progress at the megafactory in Shanghai
In addition to the existing production Tesla is making rapid progress with the construction of the megafactory in the Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai. As of September, over 60% of the plant's main structure has already been completed. Commissioning of the plant is planned for the first quarter of next year. The megafactory will significantly increase the production of Megapacks, Tesla's large-format energy storage systems, and thus meet the growing global demand.
