Tesla Model Y remains the frontrunner - New trends on the e-car market

2024 was another exciting year for electric mobility. In Germany and many neighboring countries, purchasing behavior has changed significantly. While Tesla continues to dominate the sales charts, new models are gaining in popularity. We take a look at the best-selling e-cars in 2024 in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Finland and Italy.

Germany: Tesla Model Y leads - VW is catching up

With 29,896 units sold the Tesla Model Y remains the best-selling electric car in Germany. It is followed by the Skoda Enyaq (25,262 units) and the VW models ID.4 and ID.5 (21,611 units). It is particularly striking that Volkswagen is catching up strongly overall with its ID models. The ID.3 also made it into the top 5 with 20,101 registrations.

Finland: Volvo and Tesla at the top

Volvo dominates in Finland with 3,804 unitsclosely followed by Tesla with 3,717 sales. Particularly popular here are the Volvo EX30 and the Tesla Model Ywhich lead the market.


Italy: Tesla clearly dominates

Italy shows a clear trend: Tesla remains with 15,651 registrations remains the undisputed leader. Especially the Model 3 (7,943 units) is the best-selling model. Volvo and BMW are also surprisingly strong, with 4,474 and 4,026 units respectively. good sales figures.
