Tesla expands its presence in Australia with a new service station for Megapacks. The facility will be located in Western Australia near the Collie Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)which is operated by Neoen developed by Neoen.
🔋 What is developed in the Tesla-service station?
✔ Maintenance and repair of Megapacks
✔ Renewal of battery products
✔ Possibly also powerwall and charging station services
📅 Status:
- The project has been agreed in December 2024 by Memorandum of Understanding.
- At full capacity utilization, the plant will create up to 50 jobs.
Why is the site in Collie important?
The Collie BESS project will have a capacity of 560 MW and 2,240 MWh fully equipped with Tesla megapacks.
🛠 Tesla APAC Head of Energy Josef Tadich explained:
"Neoen has played a key role in opening up the market for battery storage since 2017. Their recent involvement in Western Australia has opened up this great growth opportunity."

✅ Enable faster technical support for regional customers
✅ Reduce operating costs for maintenance and repairs

- Phase 2: 341 MW / 1,363 MWh
- Completion planned for 2025/2026
