For the Tesla Model Y in Europe, the trailer hitch can now be added to the order process for the Tesla Model Y Long Range and Performance. To date, it was only possible to purchase the trailer hitch afterwards. This was then installed in the service center. The surcharge for the trailer hitch is 1350€. Tesla specifies the payload as 1600 kilograms. This is a good value for an electric car. Many electric cars are even lower. As of today (13.05.2022), the delivery time does not change due to the selection of the trailer hitch. Unfortunately, this option cannot be added later for vehicles that have already been ordered. According to Tesla, this will only be installed from deliveries in Q3 2022.

Now for the not so good news, Tesla has increased the interest rate on the lease to an APR of 3.70%. The interest rate for the balloon loan is still an annual percentage rate of 2.99%.
