Elon Musk announces on Twitter: Tesla FSD V11 update to roll out this week!

After several months of waiting, Elon Musk now announces on Twitter that the long-awaited FSD V11 beta update will be rolled out this week. Originally, the update was announced for November 2022, but was repeatedly postponed. It remains to be seen whether Elon Musk's latest statement can be trusted or whether the update will be postponed once again.

However, many are looking at the announced update with mixed feelings. Tesla's FSD Beta V11 brings together Tesla's FSD and Highway Autopilot. FSD Beta allows Tesla vehicles to drive autonomously to a destination entered into the vehicle's navigation system, but the driver must be alert and ready to take control of the vehicle at all times. Since the responsibility lies with the driver and not the Tesla system, it is still a level two driver assistance system, despite the name.

In recent months, Tesla has periodically released new software updates for the FSD beta program and added more owners to the program under certain conditions. Currently, more than 400,000 Tesla owners in North America have been accepted into the program since the beta's renewed major release last year. However, the majority of these owners have yet to receive significant FSD beta updates, as Tesla was supposed to release V11 update to the fleet in November 2022.

The update is an important step because it includes many new neural networks, Musk shared. But also from a consumer perspective, it is also important to bring this update because it is expected to merge Tesla's FSD beta, which is mainly used in cities, with Tesla's Autopilot software, which is mainly used on highways.
