Right from the start, the Tesla charging infrastructure has been a major purchase criterion for various Tesla models. At first, Tesla Superchargers were free for all Tesla owners. Later, there was a switch to annual free quotas until these were completely abolished. Anyone who ordered a Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Model S or Model X before September 2021 will certainly be familiar with the Tesla Referral Program. Everyone who ordered their vehicle using a Tesla Referral Code received 1,500 kilometers of free supercharging. These 1,500 kilometers were credited to the Tesla account of both the recommender and the buyer. Unfortunately, Tesla has discontinued this referral program. However, originally collected kilometers are retained, but have an expiry date.
Since last year, Tesla has also released its "Supercharger" rapid charging network, which has been exclusive to customers for many years, for electric cars from other brands. The test operation at the first locations in the Netherlands was followed by the release of further superchargers for third-party brands in Norway and France at the beginning of this year. For a few weeks now, e-cars from other brands have also been able to charge with the Tesla app at the first superchargers in Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and Great Britain. So that this does not overload the infrastructure, Elon Musk has promised an accelerated expansion.
The US company recently announced another milestone in its fast-charging network. In June, the world's 35,000th supercharger went into operation in China, Tesla China announced on Twitter. Tesla also shared a graphic that shows the development of the last few years: The first supercharger was opened in September 2012, and almost 10,000 more superchargers were added in just under six years. By 2020 the network had grown to 20,000 and by 2021 to 30,000 columns. In the middle of this year, the 35,000th Supercharger was opened. This gives you the world's largest fast charging network, according to Tesla.
We achieved a new milestone.🙌🏼

The expansion will continue in the coming months and years. Tesla had already announced at the end of 2021 that it would triple the supercharger network over the next two years and, where necessary, relieve it with additional charging stations..
